This bowl measures 9 3/4" x 4" high. It is turned from Purpleheart (genus Peltogyne) a dense, highly durable exotic hardwood from Central and South America. Fresh cuts appear dull brown, but rapidly oxidize to a vibrant, distinct purple upon exposure to air and UV light. A embellished ring has been added to give the bowl a more elegant look.
This bowl is polished with wax and is not dishwasher safe.
